How to get hypnotized

darrfall:

I often find myself hypnotizing subs who didn’t go under at all or didn’t go under as deeply as they’d like in their prior sessions with other hypnotists. And a vast majority of the time, these subs go down much deeper with me. It’s not because I’m some genius hypnotist above all others or because I possess some voodoo magic to which you find yourself helplessly succumbing. In truth, it’s because I tell my subs what I’m about to tell you. Read on if you want to get the most out of your hypno experiences as a sub.

Just a quick note: while there are no trap inductions in this post, for some people descriptions of hypnotic experiences, coupled with the natural tendency of your imagination to create these experience in your mind, can result in a mild trance. This is no different from when you read a novel or a story and see, feel, hear, and experience it in your mind. If you do find yourself drifting into trance, that’s perfectly fine. Just keep reading. The information in this post is just as valuable in your subconscious memory as it is in your conscious awareness.

1. What should I think about during the session? Answer: anything, as long as you follow the hypnotist’s instructions for as long as you remain alert enough to do so. Other than that, you’re welcome to think about whatever you want. If you want to think about the words that the hypnotist is saying, that’s perfectly fine, as long as you keep following the instructions and directing your focus where the hypnotist suggests. On the other hand, if you find your mind wondering and building up its own thoughts, daydreams, and fantasies, as it might during a boring school lesson, that’s perfectly fine too. Just follow every instruction you’re consciously aware of, and your subconscious mind can take care of the rest.

2. What if my thoughts keep racing or I keep wondering if I’m hypnotized yet? Again, perfectly fine. If you’ve had this kind of experience, tell your hypnotist. There is a whole class of inductions designed to help nervous, anxious, or self-aware subjects reach that peaceful, relaxed state. Think of the last time you were especially blissfully relaxed. Maybe you were lying on a beach or listening to a relaxing piece of music… And as you bring back that experienece, notice how no thoughts or questions arose on the way to that relaxation. It was just natural. And relaxing under the guidance of they hypnotist can be very similar. If you’re following the hypnotist’s instructions, then you are exactly where you need to be.

3. Just relax. On my first session with any first-time subject or one that has had trouble going under in the past, I promise them that the first time I bring them under, I will not give them any suggestions to act differently than they normally do. The only suggestions I give during that trance are to go under deeper in the future and to feel fantastic. No eroticisim, no domination, no blind obedience. Just very deep, very comfortable, very pleasant relaxation. This eliminates the possibility of resistance to the “payload” of the session – the suggestions that the subject ultimately expects to receive. In the context of sexual or transformational hypnosis, a subject may consciously desire to push his borders but remain subconsciously uncomfortable with the idea. As a result, his subconscious mind may resist the induction. By going through an induction without any other suggestions, that resistance becomes unnecessary, and a subject can experience that deep pleasure of letting go. A hypnotic relationship between us can start to form. The sub can come to learn on a conscious and unconscious level that I’ll honor my promises, take good care of him, and make him feel so good and relaxed. There’s no chance of him misinterpreting his discomfort with a suggestion as inability to be hypnotized. Instead, he can feel so comfortable and so safe, that he may find himself open to exploring the pleasure he can find just outside his prior limitations.
